Ages 8-12
This five-day camp is a great introduction to canoeing and the Museum! We spend the week dividing our time between on-water, on-campus, and in-museum activities. We’ll focus on the basics of canoeing, play paddling games, and have lots of fun learning with new friends!
While on the water, campers will have the opportunity to develop paddling skills, whether they are new to the world of canoeing or have experience. While off the water, we’ll utilize the Museum’s outdoor campus for campcraft and games and we’ll also utilize our indoor spaces to interact with the world’s largest collection of canoes and kayaks in the world.
This day camp provides the perfect mix of fun activities and skill development, all through an outdoor education lens.
No paddling experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome.
Camp runs rain or shine; please dress for the weather!
